A sad event occurred last weekend with the passing of Miss Katie the rat. She is pictured here in an earlier and happier time with some food in her paws. Sadly with the transition of Ellie to school and the appearance and distraction of a certain pooch the little ratty

and pneumonia took her away in her sleep. A solemn service was attended by family and friends and Katie is now at peace under the peace tree in the front yard. At least she was given a year of life rather than a quick death at an earlier age as snake fo
